The bookworm in me

Couldn't have said it better myself.
That describes exactly how I feel as I request book after book from the library.

I recently read Katie Couric's new book The Greatest Advice I Ever Got.  It was the perfect book for me as I'm contemplating changing my major.  I am always on the lookout for a good book though.
Do any of you have suggestions?

Hope your four day work week is moving a little more quickly than mine.
Always,
L.A.

The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.

A memorial day rainbow

A little taste of So Dak beauty for all of you unfamiliar to it.
This beautiful rainbow graced our skies yesterday after a few days of my favorite weather.
(I love the rain.)
Wonderful, isn't it?

Always,

A dedication to my someday someone

This song.  Oh. my.  How accurately captures the mood I'm in today.  The lyrics echo my own thoughts so well I want to copy and paste every last one of them here for you to see.  In fact I think I will.

I dedicate this song to my someday someone.  The man whose hands were meant to hold mine.  In the words of the Civil Wars:

Why are you so far from me?

In my arms is where you are to be
How long will you make me wait?
I don't know how much more I can take
I missed you but I haven't met you
Oh but I want to
How I do
Slowly counting down the days
Till I finally know your name
The way your hand feels round my waist
The way you laugh, the way your kisses taste
I missed you but I haven't met you
Oh but I want to
How I do
How I do
I've missed you but I haven't met you
Oh how I miss you but I haven't met you
Oh but I want to
Oh how I want to
Dear whoever you might be
I'm still waiting patiently

Like the song says: "Dear whoever you might be, I'm still waiting patiently."

Love Always,
L.A.

Success

540986928

Isn't that the truth though?

Life can be tough.

That goes with out saying.  We struggle throughout it with various things.  We struggle all the time.
But at the end of the day if we've changed just one life for the better, well in my book, that makes it all worth it.  Besides, all those struggles make us who we are.

And who'd want to be anyone else?

Always,
L.A.

Shout out to anyone who happens to find themselves here

Pst.

Pssst.

Psssssssssssssssssssssst.

Hey, you.

Yeah, you, the person reading this right now.

I just want you to know that I really appreciate every word you've ever read of mine.  Seriously. Every. single. word.  I'd also really love if you'd leave a comment and let me know who you are, what you think, or what you'd like to know or hear more about.

I'm all ears. (err, eyes?) Promise.

Always,
L.A.

ps: I've emerged more cool headed after yesterday's "my-possible-dream-major-is-at-another-school-and-I-don't-want-to-leave-my-school" meltdown.  I think I'm going to just stay where I'm at for now.  Granted I'm going to have to completely revamp my current class schedule for this coming fall semester, but I'm actually kind of excited about it.

Facebook creeping and finding a major

I was just facebook creeping an old friend of mine from camp who I knew ended up graduating with an English major.  (No judgement please. I know you're all secret facebook creepers too.)  Turns out she graduated with a degree in "English for New Media".

My intrest was peeked.  I went to her alma mater's website and looked into the coursework involved.

And it was just what I've been looking for.

Oh, shit.  I have a feeling I've just accidentally opened up a can of worms I wasn't expecting.

Always,
L.A.
